Michael Harrell began
his career as a commercial illustrator with a client
list that included
American Express, MasterCard and Paramount Pictures.
During that time, his work was shown at the Museum
of American
Illustration in New York.
Since the early 1990s, Michael has
devoted himself to fine art and has gained an
international reputation for his ability to capture light,
shadows and reflections as well
as movement. He is highly-respected for capturing
people at work, on errands and at ease in their everyday
environments.
Michael has been influenced by such
American realists as Edward Hopper, Andrew Wyeth
and Winslow Homer. His work can be found in the collections
of the Mystic Seaport Museum,
Walt Disney, Ogilvy & Mather,
Nordstrom, Ducks Unlimited, Dean Witter
Reynolds and Hale & Dorr.
Harrell has been featured in numerous publications
including The Artist’s
Magazine,
Artist Sketchbook and American Artists
Watercolor Magazine.
He is a member of the Salmagundi
Club of New York, the Philadelphia Watercolor
Club and the North American Marine Arts Society. |
