A chance to visit our French Connection just before the reception from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Addison Art Gallery. The French Cable Station was the American termination point for a telegraph cable that came directly to Orleans from France. It was installed in the 1890s and was almost 3200 miles long. Like many artists of today, Edward Hopper was inspired by Cape’s natural, stunning light. Join us to see artists create onsite and learn more about their techniques. Artists planning to participate include Linda Beach, Maryalice Eizenberg, Steve Kennedy, Laura Levine, Rosalie Nadeau, Susan Overstreet, Carol Petretti and Paul Schulenburg. In the case of rain, the artists will paint inside the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
