Celebrate Our Waters

As part of Celebrate our Waters weekend, the Addison Art Gallery is sponsoring plein air painting, a fresh paint exhibition, and a reception with music by Bruce MacLean and artist demonstration.
8am to noon Plein Air Painting
Artists from Cape Cod and beyond will be painting at waterside sites around Orleans. (Paul Schulenburg, Catherine Hess, Linda Beach, Andrea Petitto, Linda Turoczi, Don Bachman and Maryalice Eizenberg are among the artists who will be painting.) Their wet paintings will be brought to the Addison Art Gallery for the reception.
4 to 6 Artists’ Reception, Demonstration
Amy Sanders will demonstrate building depth and luminosity with pastel as she works towards bringing a painting to life through multiple layers. Questions and comments from audience member of all ages will be encouraged and add to the event.
