In Honor of our Environment: Dottie Leatherwood and Marc Hanson

Dottie Leatherwood and Marc Hanson share a love of, and passion for, painting the sea and marshes. Each interprets Cape Cod’s extensive scenes from their own perspective while finding inspiration in each other’s vision.
The many moods of the bay and ocean have long captivated artists. In addition to adding their personal approaches to our major bodies of water, Leatherwood and Hanson pay homage to our biologically diverse wetlands, areas that provide wildlife habitats, essential erosion control, and unexpected beauty.
We hope you can join us in welcoming Marc as he returns, and Dottie for her first show at Addison Art Gallery. The duo will be offering a casual demonstration on the gallery lawn from 4:00 to 4:45, followed by a reception from 5:00 to 7:00. Acclaimed for his pianistic style, harmonic depth and originality, 8-string master Fred Fried will add to the festivities.
